Family: Past, Present and Future

My wife, Rita, and I enjoy researching our family roots. We spend many hours in various county and state archives pursuing our genealogical interests. Where we came from is important to us and we want to leave a written family legacy for our heirs.
We have two of our parents still living and we cherish the times we still have to spend with them each week. Fortunately, they live close by and we talk to them and see them often. We realize that each visit could be our last one with either one of them. While our four children are more scattered and busy in making a living and a life for themselves, we have special family gatherings, holidays and reunions when we are together. Occasionally, the children still seek our counsel and that is especially gratifying to us.
Then, there are our adorable grandchildren...ALL GIRLS ! What a blessing it is when each new one comes into our lives. These "little lights" are bringing such happiness and laughter to us during their formative years. They are so bright and eager to explore and learn. We hope they experience and know of our delight in them as they grow into their fullest potential.
We have the best of all worlds when it comes to family...a rich heritage, a present joy and a future hope. Time spent with family matters and yields a wonderful investment in tomorrow. We believe that the values we leave them are more important that any valuables that they may inherit.
