I'm one of the newest members of the Baptist Foundation; it doesn't seem possible, but I've been with the Foundation a little over a year.  I feel truly blessed to be a part of this team, everyone has been so kind and supportive.  Anytime you start a new job, it can feel a little daunting.  It was doubly daunting because I had just recently moved to North Carolina. 

I moved to North Carolina from Florida in October 2008.  My boyfriend had been living up here for a couple of years, and our relationship had gotten to the point where we either had to be together or go our separate ways.  We decided that we wanted to see what we could do as a couple, so I made the move up to North Carolina.  It's been a big change for me, moving away from my family and friends in Florida, but it has also been a great year getting to meet new people and discover North Carolina.  I am now looking forward to the next chapter of my life that is beginning in March 2010 as I will be getting married.  Jason and I will be married in Florida surrounded by our family and friends; we are both excited to see where this new journey will take us as we continue to enjoy our new home and new friends here in North Carolina.
